Bridge builds relationships. Relationships that create business value and drive innovation. Relationships that cement into friendships and partnerships that last a lifetime and make the world a smaller place.
We started Bridge to collaborate with the most helpful people in our lives. The people who champion us when we are not in the room. The people who share ideas, feedback and opportunities. The people who help us learn, grow and succeed.
Previously, we relied on proximity, travel and physical events to bump into them. These moments of serendipity led to an explosion in collaboration, innovation and sharing.
No wonder cities have continued to grow. When we move to a city within an urban system that is twice as large, we become, on average, 15% more wealthy, more productive, more creative… a remarkable outcome manifested in the emergent behavior resulting from human interaction and social networking!
Geoffrey West talking about "Scaling: The surprising mathematics of life and civilization"
However, as remote work becomes the norm, we have fewer opportunities to bump into each other.
Bridge is fundamentally a new way to interact with each other online. A way that helps remote workers see and build relationships while avoiding the pain of managing contacts, guessing who can help and updating CRMs.
We believe that by helping people be more successful, they can help more people. We believe that by shrinking the internet we can make it more personal and valuable for everyone. Win - Win - Win!
Like Maria, we’ve benefitted from the kindness of many people who’ve connected us with people and networks we previously had limited / no access to. We’ve been mentored and supported by some of the best leaders, founders, investors and builders in the world. We’ve been extremely lucky.
Rightly or wrongly, throughout our careers as engineers, designers, recruiters, consultants, marketers, investors and salespeople we kept seeing that network was vital at every stage of our journey. Network was how we learnt about the best opportunities, accessed mentorship, and how we met each other and sourced our early team and users. Spot a pattern? Network matters 🙂
By combining all of our experience, failures, insights and networks, we’ve started Bridge to help you and your network succeed. Our goal is to help 1B professionals build relationships by 2030.
For centuries, bridges have made the world a smaller place by making it easier for people and economies to collaborate. We want to do the same thing for the internet. By bridging the gap between remote workers we can increase the serendipity of the internet. Serendipity that makes the internet feel smaller, more magical, more personal and more connected. Serendipity that helps increase the GDP of the internet while making internet business more personal (yes - we are huge fans of Stripe and Intercom ☘️ )
And finally, because it was so easy to get the Bridge domain name… NOT 😂

We believe introductions are life-changing
